I "borrowed" my title for this blog from Sheri, our MemoryWorks design team assistant leader.  Thanks Sheri for a great title.  Well, I am honored by all the wonderful positive comments I received on my altered book that I made as my project for the MemoryWorks design team blog hop.  As promised one lucky follower who left a comment will be a winner right here on my blog.  I have a set of adorable mini cards that I made using the April express kit that I will be giving away.  Today I will re-read all the comments and put everyone's name in a basket and draw out the lucky winner.  I will announce the winner later today or tomorrow.  If you are the winner please contact me at my email address: thatsnoscrap@yahoo.com with your mailing address so I can send them off to you.

Thank you all again so much for all the wonderful comments.  I have to tell you, I get to work with an amazing group of very talented ladies and everytime there is a challenge or project to work on they really inspire me to get out of my comfort zone and try something new and challenging.

The new catalog is out and there are really fabulous products in it.  If you would like to purchase anything please contact me and I will be happy to order for you.  If you place an order of $25.00 or more I will include a copy of the new catalog along with free shipping on your order.  You can see all the wonderful products at the MemoryWorks website.  And if you would like to purchase your products and receive a great discount just contact me about becoming a MemoryWorks Independant Scrapbook Consultant.  If you would like to receive some free scrapbook supplies contact me about hosting your very own scrapbook party or class.  I offer classes in layouts, cards and altered art projects. Memory Works Spring Fling Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Memory Works Spring Fling Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Sheri's blog you are in the right place.  The Teamworks Girls have been busy behind the scenes creating beautiful projects with some of their favorite products in our New Memory Works Spring/Summer Catalog. Make sure you stop at each blog along the way to check out all of the inspiration, and don't forget to leave a comment at each stop! One lucky reader will win a giveaway sponsored by Memory Works! The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win! You have until midnight on Thursday to leave your comments.  I will also be having a giveaway on my blog.  You can have two chances to win, one by being a follower of my blog or becoming one and your second chance will be by leaving a comment on my blog.
For my project I chose to make an altered book from an old encyclopedia.  Below is the book I started with and the following pictures are what I ended up with.  This was really a fun project and it shows how versatile the products that MemoryWorks offers are.  There are so many things to do with scrapbook supplies.

I painted the book with copper acrylic paint then added my decorations.  I used the Bo Bunny Weekend Market line to create my altered book.  I used Mod Podge to glue the pages together  and as a protective coat on all surfaces.  Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the "Hop"

This is what I started with...

and this is what I made...

Here is the blog order in case you missed anyone.  I hope you find lots of inspiration from the projects you see here and if you want to order any of the products you see just contact me and I will take care of everthing.  My email address is: thatsnoscrap@yahoo.com

Easter Gift Card Holders

I made these gift card holders for my grandsons for Easter.  I used a medium size McDonalds french fry box as my pattern.  I used the Simple Stories Awesome cardstock and some brads from my stash.  The green shredded paper was in a box of ribbons and lace that my mom gave me sometime back.  It is perfect for Easter!
